Health Insurance (Proposed)
A resolution passed at the pre-AGM meetings mandates the board to adopt a health insurance scheme for SACCO members. Approved in principle and in the pipeline for rollout.
Bereavement Cover
Members register up to 10 beneficiaries at UGX 12,000 per person per year. Upon the passing of a covered beneficiary, the family receives UGX 3 million in support. Joint account holders pay UGX 24,000 to entitle each holder individually to the full UGX 3 million payout.
Share Capital Investment
Members purchase shares in the SACCO at UGX 20,000 per share and earn an annual dividend. For 2025, the SACCO declared UGX 10,038 per share, with UGX 8,000 paid out in cash and UGX 2,038 reinvested. Members holding 50 or more shares receive an official share certificate on request, and shares can also serve as loan collateral.
Fixed Deposit
Members can place funds on fixed deposit and earn interest over an agreed term. Ideal for members who want a secure, predictable return on money they do not need immediately.
Regular Savings
The standard savings account for all members. The SACCO pays monthly interest on savings balances, unlike most commercial banks that do not reward ordinary savings with interest.
Quick Mob Loan (Coming Soon)
An emergency short-term loan to be processed directly on a member’s phone without visiting a branch. Fast access to cash when it is needed most.
Share-Backed Loan
Members can access a loan using their shares as collateral, provided the loan amount does not exceed 25% of the member’s total share capital. Passed as a resolution at the 25th AGM.
Group Loans
Loans accessible to savings groups and community associations. The SACCO has a dedicated Credit Officer for Groups, confirming this is an active and well-supported product line.
Ekyapa Mungaro
A loan product designed to help members raise the funds needed to process their land titles. Owning a land title is a critical step in securing property rights and unlocking bigger financial opportunities, and this product makes that process accessible to SACCO members.
Agriculture Loan
Credit is designed around the farming calendar, helping members finance seeds, inputs, equipment, and land preparation. Repayment is structured to align with harvest cycles so members are never caught off guard.
