Rwakyakibunya SACCO Holds 25th Annual General Meeting — Double Growth Declared for 2025

Rwakyakibunya SACCO held its 25th Annual General Meeting on March 24, 2026 at the Kibiito main branch, welcoming members, delegates, district leaders, and distinguished guests from across Western Uganda.

Chairperson of the Executive Committee, Mr. Arinaitwe Emmanuel, opened the meeting by presenting the financial report for the year ended December 31, 2025. The results confirmed what many members had already been sensing on the ground: 2025 was a year of extraordinary growth.

Total assets reached UGX 18.2 billion, more than doubling from UGX 9.26 billion in 2024. The loan portfolio grew to UGX 14.4 billion, savings stood at UGX 9.5 billion, and share capital tripled to UGX 3.29 billion. A total of UGX 17.56 billion in loans was disbursed across all five branches during the year.

The meeting declared a dividend of UGX 10,038 per share for 2025, with UGX 8,000 paid out as cash and UGX 2,038 ploughed back to strengthen member share holdings. Members with fewer than five shares will have their full dividends reinvested to bring them to the minimum threshold.

Nearly 5,000 new members joined the SACCO during 2025, bringing the total client base to 13,442. Delegates were formally inducted from all five branches, representing communities from Kibiito, Rwimi, Kahunge, Fort Portal City, and Kyenjojo.

The meeting also approved the budget estimates for 2026, adopted a resolution to explore health insurance for members, and mandated the board to open additional branches and outreaches in locations including Biguri, Kagadi, Kyegegwa, Bwera, Kasese, and Kampala.

Mr. Arinaitwe closed his address with the words that have defined the SACCO since its founding: “May God bless Rwakyakibunya. Kamu Kamu Nugwo Muganda.”
